Silver oak leaf with acorn drop
Designed and hand made by Tishpa in the Causeway Coast area of Northern Ireland.
All my pieces are unique and handcrafted.
Material, fine silver 99.9% silver ( 0.1% copper), sterling silver 92.5% silver chain, bail, bead and bead cap and head pin
This is a beautiful shiny interpretation of a slightly curled oak leaf pendant. It is crafted in fine clay. A sterling silver bail is attached to allow attachment of a chain and acorn. My home is in County Derry the Oak leaf county, that was the inspiration for this piece.
The leaf is cut from fine silver clay, curled and patterned on the front. After drying and filing, it is kiln fired leaving a fine silver piece. The acorn is fashioned from a sterling silver faceted bead, a three bead tipped head pin and a bead cap to create the desired shape. This is attached to the leaf with a sterling silver bail, which also allows attachment to the chain.
The pendant is suspended on a sterling silver chain 45cm in length, it weight 3.6g the leaf measures 3.0 x 1.4 cm. The acorn measures 0.9 x 0.5 cm at the widest points.
