Open heart with carnelian stone

Designed and hand made by Tishpa in the Causeway Coast area of Northern Ireland.

Materials  Sterling silver, carnelian cabochon sterling silver chain

This delicate pendant is constructed with an open heart , which is lightly hammered to give a slight texture to the piece. A bail is added to suspend the piece from and a bezel cup measuring 3mm in diameter is soldered to the top of the heart. After cleaning and polishing the heart is set with a 3mm carnelian cabochon.  The heart, excluding the bail measures 1.8 x 2.0 cm, and is suspended on a sterling silver chain measuring 46cm.

The pendant is a simple everyday piece.

Carnelian is a stabilizer stone of high energy, which is said to ground and anchor you in the present.
